Jay Slime - Summer Rage 2 Album review

Jay Slime is an artist from The Bronx, New York who is known for albums such as, SLIME WRLD, and Summer Rage and his collaborations with Xyah Aaliyah, Adubbskii, and Tyler Larson, teams up with Spencer Miles to produce this EDM Pop-Trap album titled "Summer Rage 2". This album has an impressive style and sound with inspiration from The Chainsmokers, as Jay Slime stated in his interview on the podcast Serpentine Speaks. The songs have a positive, feel good energy and combine the A Boogie and Juice WRLD style of lyrics with the production of Tiesto or The Chainsmokers. The flows of Jay's lyrics are significantly different than his other projects because he is able to move with the different rhythm to this style of music. This is a refreshing piece of music from Jay Slime and makes me look forward to more music by him. We are also able to witness a rather intense song titled, "Rockstar Age" that has catchy lyrics such as "I'm A Rockstar If I see yo girl ima bust her down". There is a lot of chanting on this record as well which make it quite memorable. "Friday Night" is the best track on this with the most manipulation of the vocals in pitch, tone, and auto tune, with a complete house type of instrumental break towards the middle. This is an amazing EDM song which has the possibility of being a hit! This album proves that Jay Slime is a very talented musician and separates him from other rappers, singers in the underground. I would say that this album is suitable for all audiences, and I would give this album a 9/10.
